Russell Jones and Walker, one of the leading national law firms in the UK, has been recognised as a "leader in the field" in both the Personal Injury: Mainly Claimant and Clinical Negligence: Mainly Claimant sections of the 2012 Chambers UK directory.
The directory, acknowledged as the leading source for legal practitioners, ranked RJW in the second highest band both nationally and across the Sheffield, Cardiff, Manchester, London and Birmingham offices.
The clinical negligence team was also highlighted for its continuous expansion and involvement in a wide range of clinical negligence cases of varying value, and specialism in dealing with amputation cases.
All partners across the five offices received a band two or higher ranking, while two of the firms managing partners maintained band one rankings in the individual section of this category.
Simon Allen, managing partner of RJW Sheffield and joint head of the firms national Personal Injury department, was recognised for his expertise in occupational stress, asbestosis and mesothelioma cases .
Richard Langton, managing partner of the Birmingham team, was also singled out for his work on behalf of claimants in serious cases involving brain, spine and amputation injuries, or on the behalf of families in the case of fatal accidents . He was also recognised for his expertise in product liability.
