Staff at Peterborough-based Buckles Solicitors are celebrating after the company was named Law Firm of the Year award at the recent LawNet annual conference.
In an event attended by 160 member representatives of LawNets network of 68 independent law firms, Buckles Solicitors was presented with the award for best law firm by former Conservative minister turned broadcaster Michael Portillo.
Colleen Gostick, the firms managing partner, said: "We are delighted to win this national award and to be recognised as an ambitious firm. The culture of Buckles is enthusiastic and we value strong, long-term client relationships."
The panel of judges said Buckles winning submission included clear strategic direction, exemplary client and employee care, sustained financial performance, key cases won and evidence of other initiatives that best exemplify a leading firm in LawNets extensive network.
"Buckles stood out," LawNet chief executive John Thomas commented. "These were real innovations, not just window dressing, and combined with a strong financial performance, it has placed the firm in an excellent position to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead."
